What Is Love

What I want to say to you, she said before me.
I can only hope that you are happy.
What I want to give to you, she gave before me.
I can only echo your happiness.
Love is to bless you with my whole heart.

Watching you fondle her hands with your high-pitched love,
I can only smile by hiding my love.
Seeing you kissing her with your look of contentment,
I can only try to hide my sorrow and look glad.
Love is to be your most ordinary friend.

Watching her walking towards you, my tears shed for your joy.
She is the only one for you.
Knowing that meeting the right one is not easy, my tears shed for your luck.
I realized that I cannot hold you.
Love is to let you go with my shattered soul.

Love is to wait quietly for your turning around.
Love is to succumb to my failure.
Love is to watch you flee to your love.
Love is to smile at you with my protective mask.
Love is to be grateful by only being your friend.

  7. Such a sad but realistic story. Sometimes the ones we love don't love us and we have to let them go. It's another measure of love, to just be "his/her" friend.
    Touching poem. Great Job!!!
