A Plea for the Physical
In the modern society, more and more people are willing to stay in front of computers instead of going out for a walk. I am the one who is sedentary and would like to stay at home even though I know taking some exercise is definitely good for health. Most of the time, I can’t leave my computer when watching movies or chatting with my friends. Rarely, I spend a whole night staying on the internet and watching the sun comes out. The only exercise I do is walking to school and walking back to home since there is no PE class for grades elevens. Only few times, I play sports with friends is fun compared to running by myself. A lot people might be same as me who wants to build their bodies but doesn’t really proceed yet. Like a while ago, someone called me to buy stamps with her but I didn’t say yes because I feel especially lazy in front of computer. I am such a sedentary or idle person but I hope I can play some fun sports with my friends who are also sedentary in later time.

oh tsk tsk! Since you do prefer to surf the 'net, why don't you read about how current research has indicated that exercise and physical activity improves your brain power (i.e. academic performance)? I think you can combine your socializing with your friends with doing things like going for walks together. So though you have your preferences, I do hope you consider trying it out to see if it makes a difference!
ReplyDeleteCheck out a brief introduction to the research:
