Quick Write-400 years later

After 400 years later, humans live on Earth and Mars because we have consumed a lot of resources on Earth and scientists has already found the path to Mars. Nowadays, English and Mandarin are the largest and widely spoken languages in the world. As time passes, these two languages might become "official languages" spoken by a growing number of people. Since humans have found that there are creatures living on the Mars we can try to associate with these alien creatures for ages and finally gotten along with them peacefully. When humans first moved to the Mars, they cannot move freely since there was no ozonosphere that the Earth has. Since Mars is being reconstructed by humans to fit our needs, resources will also being discovered or developed gradually. Thus, more human beings will settle down on Mars. With possible "natural punishments" from the planet, humans are clear of the consequences if they continue to explore all the resources on Mars and use them to create an ideal human society without any limitation. However, nothing can really stop humans to utilize resources wildly from the Mars. Will the Mars become the "second Earth" which has been severely destructed by human beings?

Monique is my friend who is always being with me and supports me. When I first saw her, she said hello with her smile and I knew that we would be close friends. Not like me, Monique likes to smile; her smile is the warm sunshine which embraces me with warmth and banishes my cold. When she smiles, her eyes are full of love and teeth are shown to say hi; when she smiles, I also smile. Anytime I see her, first I see is her smile as the first time I saw her. She is my best friend who has the smile that can melt ice and me.

Response to “Do Seek Their Meat From God”

In the short story”Do Seek Their Meat From God” written by Roberts, the author made a contrast to the previous stories of animals. This story is too cruel for little kids but that is the truth we have to know. The conflict between people and animals shows how real is the world. The reality tears our hearts and there is no way to stop since we can’t live in fairy tales. Neither the panther nor the hunter, they are just trying to survive for themselves or for their families. It’s hard to balance our sympathies between human beings and animals so that the author comes up with a acceptable ending.

A Plea for the Physical

            In the modern society, more and more people are willing to stay in front of computers instead of going out for a walk. I am the one who is sedentary and would like to stay at home even though I know taking some exercise is definitely good for health. Most of the time, I can’t leave my computer when watching movies or chatting with my friends. Rarely, I spend a whole night staying on the internet and watching the sun comes out. The only exercise I do is walking to school and walking back to home since there is no PE class for grades elevens. Only few times, I play sports with friends is fun compared to running by myself. A lot people might be same as me who wants to build their bodies but doesn’t really proceed yet. Like a while ago, someone called me to buy stamps with her but I didn’t say yes because I feel especially lazy in front of computer. I am such a sedentary or idle person but I hope I can play some fun sports with my friends who are also sedentary in later time.
